Choose any experiment that interests you. A good place to look for ideas is to Google this: science experiments. There are also great books on the topic, some of which may be found in Hyer's library or University Park Public Library!
After you gather your materials, record your experiment on video.
On your webpage, you will first upload the video of you doing your experiment-->
Under your video, write a response, as follows: You need to have 4 parts to your written response. This written response will appear directly under your video on your webpage. 1. Purpose of your experiment. 2. Method: List the materials you needed for your experiment, keeping very accurate records of everything you do. Record failures as well as successes. Keep track of all the steps you performed. (Transitions words will be your friend here, i.e., first, next, after that, last …) 3. Result: Write about the result of your experiment. Did it work? Did you try the experiment several times and get a different result each time? If so, what do you think caused the different results? 4. Conclusion: The conclusion is a statement or 2 about the experiment. In your conclusion you might include your wonderings … like, I wonder if this would work with 3 pennies instead of 2…; you might also describe in the conclusion section what scientific lesson you learned from your experiment.
